Philip Fuehrer was born in Worms, Russia, March 12, 1854 and died in Hastings, Nebraska, July 5, 1936, being 82 years, three months and twenty-three days old. In 1874 he immigrated to the United States and settled at Sutton, Nebraska in Clay county. Later he resided in Hamilton and Greeley counties, living a number of years near Wolbach. He later resided on a farm north of Palmer. In 1925 he moved to Palmer where he lived for some time.
On October 20, 1879 he was married to Miss Fredericka Klein. To this union were born ten children, seven of whom survive their parents. The living children are: Mrs. Maggie Perlenfein of Wolbach, Neb; Henry Fuehrer of Palmer; Chris Fuehrer of St. Paul; John and William Fuehrer of Palmer; Mrs. Ester Aye and Mrs. Martha Medberry of Palmer. He is survived by two half-brothers; four half sisters, a large number of grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. He was for many years a faithful member of the Palmer Methodist church.
