Tribolet, Inez Lucille Akers was born northeast of Gravity on July 19,1912, the daughter of Espy and Iva (Brand) Akers. She passed away Monday morning, February 1, 2005 at Bedford Nursing &Rehab Center.
She attended Spread Eagle School and graduated from Gravity High School in 1931. Inez then attended Red Oak Normal School to obtain a teaching certificate. She then taught school for three years at Patch School and Titus School southwest of Bedford until her marriage to Clarence Tribolet on May 16, 1936. She was a member and was baptized at the Bedford Baptist Church. She transferred her church membership to the Berea Chuch of Christ in 1936. She attended the Berea Church until her health prevented her to attend.

Inez and Clarence lived northeast of Bedford when they were first married and later moved to a farm northwest of Gravity in 1939. In 1952, the couple moved to the farm northwest of Bedford where she lived until July 17, 2001 when she moved to the Bedford Nursing & Rehab Center.

Inez was blessed with three children; Everett Paul, May 7, 1940; Earl Lee, June 22, 1946; Troy Dean, August 8, 1948. Inez was also a member of the DOC Mizpath Chapter and the Gravity DOC. In 1975 Everett and Inez started serving iced tea at public functions. This was a continued tradition by Earl, Cindy, Lisa and Janet to current. She and Everett received the Hog Wild Award from the Taylor County Pork Producers for this service.
Inez enjoyed her garden, flowers, family and friends. She loved to make sweet pickles, bake oatmeal cookies, cook for company and gather and crack walnuts. Known to many as the "nut lady." She always looked forward to the deer hunters coming.
Inez was preceded in death by her parents; husband Clarence in 1966; son Troy; two brothers, Lester Akers and his wife Myrtle and L.D. Akers and his wife Elva; and daughter-in-law, Cindy Tribolet She is survived by her two sons, Everett Tribolet and his wife Janet of Bedford, Earl Tribolet of Bedford; granddaughter Lisa Tribolet of Bedford; step grandchildren, Ron Siefering and his wife Lori of Malvern, IA, Rod Siefering of Shenandoah, IA, Rhonda Siefering of Bedford; step great grandchildren, Kerra Siefering of Bedford and Zach Siefering serving on board the USS Harry S. Truman in the Persian Gulf; brother-in-law H.G. "Pete" Tribolet and his wife Elizabeth of Council Bluffs, IA; sister-in-law, Clara Tribolet of Bedford; along with nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends.
