Eva Crystal Venable Pennington, 87 of OKC went home to be with our Lord on April 5, 2010. Eva was born on Feb. 6, 1923 in Balko, OK to Lida & Ephiram Venable, the youngest of 11 children. Eva married Jesse on June 19, 1943 in Monroe, La. She graduated OU in 1948 with a Bachelors of Science in home economics where she was very active in her sorority. Eva went on to OCU and graduated with her Master's degree. She taught home economics at Bishop McGinnis High School. She also taught at Culbertson & Page Woodson elementary schools and at Patricia Stevens Finishing School in the evenings. Cooking and sewing was Eva's passion. She is survived by her sons: Jeffrey & Victoria Pennington and Stephen Pennington; daughter, Patricia & Kenneth Hill; grandchildren: Alex Pennington, Stephen & Stacy Pennington and step-daughter, Avery, Shane & Janelle Pennington and their daughters, Micah and Morgan and son, Tyler, Jacob & Sabrina Hill and daughter, Kaitlynn and Jesse Hill. Visitation will be held from 8am to 9pm on Friday at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper. Services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, April 10th at Resurrection Chapel with burial following at Resurrection Cemetery.
