Gerald Andrew Spotorno, 79, of Bay St. Louis, Miss., formerly of Memphis, postal worker, died Friday in Bay St. Louis. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis with burial in Biloxi (Miss.) National Cemetery. Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis has charge. He was a World War II veteran and member of American Legion post 139. Mr. Spotorno, the husband of Eva O. Spotorno for 56 years, also leaves six daughters, Mary Cook of Biloxi, Virginia Getske of Memphis, Margaret Morris of Pass Christian, Miss., and Claudia Murphy, Frances Smyly and Anna Richardson, all of Bay St. Louis; three sons, Gerald Spotorno Jr. of Bay St. Louis, Matthew Spotorno of Fayetteville, Ga., and Louis Spotorno of Hattiesburg, Miss.; three sisters, Joyce Castor of Gulfport, Miss., Arthemise Rousseau of Memphis and Geraldine Fried of Monroe, La., 24 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
