They had moved to Barbour County, Alabama, by 1860, but returned to Chattahoochee County before 1870). Daughter of Thomas & Mary Ann (HIGDON) PATE. Married December 17, 1882, in Muscogee County, Georgia, to Columbus Washington Taff. She heads a household and farming on the 1900 and 1910 censuses of General Militia District #675 (Upatoie District) in Muscogee County, as a widow Mother of four children. Per Georgia Death Index: Bettie TAFF, White female, died September 9, 1939, aged 83 years, in Muscogee County, Georgia, Certificate #22003.
