Rites Held Tuesday For Mrs. Terrell
Funeral services for Mrs. Charles (Olive) Terrell, 82, lifetime Taylor County resident, were held April 25 at the Madison Street Shum-Novinger Funeral Home, with Rev. John D. Kerr officiating. Mrs. Terrell died April 22 at Pearl Terrace Manor in Bedford. Interment was at Lexington Cemetery, Bedford.
Olive Lea Hanson, daughter of Monroe Hanson and Anna Hosford Hanson, was born in Hamilton, Ill., on April 21, 1885. At the age of seven, she came with her parents, brother Roy and sister Myrtle, to the Conway community, where her father was engaged in farming and the lumber business. Later they moved to Bedford.
On Oct. 28, 1903 she was united in marriage to Charles [Sumner] Terrell of Bedford. To this union were born seven children.
Her husband and one daughter, Alice [Edna], preceded her in death.
She leaves with memories her two sons, [Charles] Kendall and Ivan [Alan] of Bedford; four daughters, Marie [Mayre] Harland of Clarinda; Jean Horton of Lincoln, Nebr.; Mildred Strand of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Doris Mothershead of Gravity; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law; four sons-in-law; a niece and nephew of Riverside, Calif., and one cousin and family of Lenox.
Mrs. Terrell was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Bedford for over 50 years.
