Son of William Joseph Lafayette Burk and Sarah FELKINS Burk

His first wife was Eliza Ane SHELTON Burk, whom he married 14 October 1867 in Madison County, Arkansas. He shares a double tombstone with Eliza.

His second wife was Martha Jane WHITMIRE Burk, whom he married about 1888, after the death of Eliza. Martha Jane Burk is buried in the Kingston Cemetery.
