Mary was the daughter of Ira Bigelow and Rachel (Allen) Bigelow of Colchester, Connecticut. She married Eleazer R. Utter. They resided in Elkhart and Trempealeau, Wisconsin. She died on 30 Jun 1877. Cause of death nervous exhaustion caused by taking large quantities of morphine habitually. (Wisconsin Deaths, 1820-1907)
