Carl Shanon Holsinger, 80, of Box 504, RD2, West Burns Avenue, died at 6 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 1987, at his residence.

Mr. Holsinger retired as a car-helper repairman from the Samuel Rea Shops, Hollidaysburg, of the Pennsylvania Railroad on April 3, 1961, after 37 years' service.

He was born Sept. 18, 1998, in Bakers Summit, the son of Alexander and Susan (Albright) Holsinger, and June 28, 1921, in Altoona, married Mary Ellen Kensinger, who died May 5, 1982.

Surviving are three children; Joseph H. of Maple Shade, N.J., John D. of Donnertown and Ruth E. Helsel, at home, and five grandchildren.

Mr. Holsinger was a member of the Canoe Creek Brethren in Christ Church.

Friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Gilden Barton Funeral Home.

HOLSINGER -Services for Carl S. Holsinger will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Gilden Barton Funeral Home, by the Rev. Mark E.Slagenweit. Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery. Friends will be received from 9 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the Gilden Barton Funeral Home.
