On June 8, 1899, she married Dr. Frank Hood Schultz, D.D.S. at the District of Columbia. Dr. and Mrs. Schultz resided in the District of Columbia. Their fourth child was Lewis Burnham Merriam born March 4, 1884 at Fort Niobrara in Nebraska, who died December 2, 1884.
Annie Burnham Merriam died on Friday, October 4, 1929 at the age of 75 years. She was the widow of Major Lewis Merriam. Survivors included two sons: Lieut. Colonel H.C. Merriam on duty in the Inspector General’s Department in the District of Columbia and Lewis Merriam of Los Angeles, California. Arrangements were by the Tabler Funeral Home at 928 M Street Northwest. Interment was at Arlington National Cemetery.
