Rosalee House Smith
Mrs. Rosalee House Smith, of Charlotte, died Wednseday, March 20, 2002 at Lakeview Living Center. She was born November 2, 1904 in Charlotte, daughter of E.M. and Jenny Black House. She was proceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Smith, a son, William J. Smith, a daughter, Evelyn Smith Donahue, two grandsons, Michael Rhames and Joe Smith.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her sons, Horace Lee Smith, Robert M. Smith, a daughter, Carol Smith Turner of Blacksburg, SC and 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who was commited to her family and to her church. A member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class, she held a life membership in the W.S.C.S.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 23 2002 at 11:30am at Moores chapel United Methodist Church with the Reverends Sarah Underwood and Sara Elliott officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:30am at the church prior to the celebration services. Grandons will serve as pollbearers. The family will gather at the home of son Robert Smith.
