FUNERAL SERVICES FOR J. BONESTEEL

MANCHESTER, July 20, - James H. Bonesteel formerly of Manchester died in Kingsboro, Cal., on July 3, and his ashes were brought here yesterday for burial in the family lot at Dellwood cemetery. Mr. Bonesteel was born in Grafton, N.Y., on October 22, 1859, son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Bonesteel who moved to Manchester and operated a general store here for years. He was a graduate of Burr & Burton seminary and later went to Grinell, Iowa, where he married Miss Mary A. Brent, who now survives him. He also leaves a daughter, Mrs. Alfred Reeder of Oakland, Cal., a son, Henry Bonesteel, of California and four grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Edward Perkins of Manchester, and two brothers, William Bonesteel of Albany and Edward Bonesteel of New York. He belonged to the order, Woodman of the World, for many years.
The burial service was held at Dellwood cemetery on Sunday afternoon at three o'clock. Rev. Kingman Golledge of the Methodist Episcopal church officiated. Those from out of town who attended the service were, E.C. Bonesteel of New York, William Bonesteel of Albany, Sara Williams of Rensselaer, N.Y., and Mrs. C.O. Hard, of Scotia, N.Y.
