OBITUARY -- Unionville, Mo Republican, Wed. May 27, 1903 Sarah Earhart

"H.H. Earhart recieved a telegram yesterday announcing the death at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 26 of his mother who has been living with her daughter, Miss Luella Earhart, at Newkirk, O.T. Mrs. Earhart was 84 years old. Three years ago she suffered a stroke of paralysis from which she never fully recovered. With her husband, Benjamin Earhart, she located at Hartford in this county in 1854, and with the exception of five years which was spent in Illinois and Kansas they resided here continuously until the death of the husband, which occured Sept. 30, 1894. It was then she went to Oklahoma to live with her daughter. There are seven children living, of whom H.H. Earhart and Mrs. Charlotte Tripplet reside in this city. The remains will be brought to this city Thursday and the funeral will be held Friday."

Note the obituary has 05/26 and the headstone has 05/25 for her date of death.

Sarah had two families with 2 husbands, plus helped raise the first family of the second husband.

She married, first, Hiram Boulware (b 1816, d 30 Oct, 1845, in Clermont, Ohio), in Ohio, on Jul 5, 1838. They had Elizabeth, b 4/17/1840 md Herold Catlett; Charlotte 1842, md a Tripplet; Hiram b 1845.

She married, second, Benjamin Earhart (b 20 Jan 1806 in Lancaster Co, Penn, d 30 Sep 1894, in Unionville, Putnam Co, Missouri) on 14 Feb 1848 in Brown Co, Ohio. They had Mary Eliza b 1852, Nancy Lewella b 1855, William S b abt 1864.
