Jerry was born March 24, 1933. He served as a Navy pilot in the Attack Squadron 113 (VA-113) know as the Stingers, and he served as a fighter pilot aboard the USS Exxex.
Jerry was retired as a rancher, businessman, and the owner of Breathco, Inc., and Mehaffey Drug in Gorman, Texas.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Lylia Pearl (Houston) of Carbon; his son, Jerry Paul Mehaffey, Jr., his wife, Mara, and their son, Luke, of Arlington. Also, his daughter, Lylia King, her husband, Jon, and their children Hunter and Kaci of Cleburne; brother, Jim Mehaffey of Sherman, and sister, Judy Mehaffey of Taos, NM. He was preceded in death by his father, R. C. Mehaffey, and mother, Pauline (Eppler) Mehaffey; and his brother, Joe Mehaffey.
