Our loving mother, wife, and grandmother passed away April 2, 2009. Mom was born January 13, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah to LaVerne and Thelma Brimley. She had 2 brothers and 2 sisters that she loved very much and had many fond childhood memories with. She was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah and graduated from South High School. She was married to Mac D. Holding on June 19, 1948.
Family was the most important part of her life. She had 2 sons, 1 daughter and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had an unconditional love for all.
Over the years she lived in Price, Utah, Phoenix, Arizona, and Ogden, Utah. She enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, and having family come to visit. Other interests included sewing, planting flowers, and she was an animal loverespecially for her many poodle dogs she had throughout her life.
She is survived by her husband; 3 children, Ron (Linda) Holding, Steve (Marsha) Holding, Shelley (Mark) Boren, 2 sisters and 2 brothers, Richard (Carma) Brimley, Jeanne (the late Burton) Tate, Donna (Ken) Renshaw, Vern Jr. (Dawn) Brimley; 15 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Saturday, April 4, 2009 from 10:30-11:45 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home at 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah followed by a graveside service at 12:00 Noon at the Murray City Cemetery, 5600 So. Vine Street, Murray, Utah. Friends and family will gather for a celebration of mothers life at the LDS church on 715 E. Vine Street, Murray, Utah following the graveside service.
