Paul is my mother's adopted brother. He was born at St. Elizabeth's Infant Hospital in San Francisco, CA. The birth certificate states that his mother was Lucille Wheeler, born in Alabama.

Paul was a foster child of my grandmother, Emily Ritter. When he was 5 years old, he came to live with her. He came from Father Flanagan and Catholic Little Children's Aid in San Francisco, CA. The 1930 census shows he was living at the St. Elizabeth's Infant Hospital in San Francisco, CA.

Paul Wheeler

Paul T. Wheeler, 66 of Fairborn, a retired USAF senior master sergeant, died Monday, June 17, 1996, in the USAF Medical center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. He was born July 12, 1929, in San Francisco, Calif.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam wars, retiring with the rank of senior master sergeant. He was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, the Dignam-Whitmore American Legion Post 526 , the Air Force Sergeants Association, and the W.F.W. Beavercreek Memorial Post 8312.
Survivors include his wife, Susanna; two daughters, Linda Ruth Wheeler, of San Francisco, Calif., and Catherine Wheeler, of Austin, Texas; four sons, Paul Gregory Wheeler, of India, Larry and Tony Wheeler, of Texas, and Kevin Wheeler, of Fairborn; a sister, Dotty Poppin, of San Francisco, and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M. tomorrow in the Burcham Funeral Home, 119 E. Main St., Fairborn, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. Friday, with Rev. Robert Marine Officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Memory Gardens.
