The son of Ellis Truman Inman and Era Faye Stout, Charles married June Kraushaar in 1958.

He was a riverboat captain and operated ferry services at Ste. Genevieve and Winfield, Missouri. June was the first female licensed by the Coast Guard to pilot a ferryboat and ran the Tower Rock Ferry for many years.

Charles and June were the parents of 3 chidren before their marriage ended.

Children from first marriage: 3 sons.

Charles married (Living) Lynn on 22 Feb 1979 in Waldo, Arkansas. She was the mother of 3 children from her first marriage.

Children from second marriage: 2 step-daughters, 1 step-son.

Charles died at Jewish Hospital following a long illness. At the time of his death, he was 49 years, 7 months and 15 days old.

He was survived by his second wife; his mother; 3 sons; 6 grandchildren; 2 step-daughters; 1 step-son; 1 step-grandson; and 1 brother, Merle Inman of Batchtown.

Visitation was held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on 06 Aug 1986 at Hanks Funeral Home in Hardin. Masonic rites took place at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services were conducted there at 10 a.m. the following morning.

The family requested that memorials, if desired, be made to the Oncology Department, Suite 200, at Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
