Joshua David Gutierrez, native of New Braunfels, Tx, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 13, 2010 at the age of 20.

He is survived by his parents Rolando Gutierrez and Blanca Ruiz; his sisters Abigail Wilkinson and Elizabeth Gutierrez; his brother, Caleb Gutierrez; his loving girlfriend, Marissa Harkins; his paternal grandmother Josefa V. Gutierrez and maternal grandmother, Rosemary Rodriguez; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Joshua was a graduate of New Braunfels High School where, during his senior year, he was the Cadet Commanding Officer, LtCol of the Marine Corps Jr ROTC. Under his leadership, the cadet corps obtained many awards. He was a dedicated employee of the City of New Braunfels Parks and Recreation Department. He touched the lives of many in the community and will be long remembered by those who knew him.

A public viewing will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home at 2 pm on Monday August 16, 2010 with evening prayer services beginning at 6 pm. A final viewing will be held at First United Methodist Church at 1 pm on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 followed by the funeral service at 2pm. Interment will be held in Hill Country Memorial Gardens.
