Velma Fern Crow, 89, of Johnston, died Dec. 6 2001, at Bishop Drum Care Center in Johnston. Services were 9:30 am Dec 10 at Our Lady of Peace Chapel, Bishop Drum Care Center in Johnston. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Prescott. Memorials may be directed to Bishop Drum Care Center in Johnston. Westover Funeral Home in Johnston was in charge of arrangements.
Miss Crow was born Nov 13, 1912 in Prescott to William K. and Dora Alice Saudners Crow. She was a secretary for the U. S. Interstate Commerc e Commission in Washington, D. C. until retiring in 1976. She moved to Johnston in 1981. She was a member of the Catholic Church, Iowa Genealogical Society and American Federation of Government Employees. Survivors include brother Albert Crow of Corning and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents William and Dora Crow and brothers and sisters.
