"Henry Ross Raymond, 73, Youngstown, died of a heart ailment Saturday morning in the S. S. hospital.
Born in Canfield, July 7, 1884, he was a son of Samuel and Bertha Knapp Raymond and was a life resident of the county. For 21 years he had been employed in the county engineer's office. During World War I, he served as a captain with the 37th Division and during the Second World War as a captain in the National Guard. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 472; the 37th Division association, and Highway Patrol Auxiliary. A former member of Argus Masonic lodge in Canfield, he served as Worshipful Master in 1930. Besides his wife, the former Ruth W. Rayner, whom he married Nov. 24, 1943, he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Louise Lackey of Youngstown, and a grandchild. Funeral services, with Rev. Samuel G. Warr officiating, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Shriver-Allison S. s. funeral Home, and burial made in Canfield cemetery."
