"Mrs. Bertha Raymond, 84, widow of Samuel Raymond, died of a heart attack early Wednesday morning at her home in Youngstown. Mrs. Raymond, who had suffered from a heart ailment for several years, was able to be around her home Tuesday. Shortly after 6 a.m. Wednesday she called members of the family, and died soon afterwards. Mrs. Raymond was born in Andover, Ohio, July 17, 1863, a daughter of Israel and Serepta Wilkins Knapp, and for many years was a resident of Canfield. For the past 44 years she had resided in Youngstown. She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian church, Electra Circle, the W. C.T.U., the Gold Star Mothers group, Miriam Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Dorothy Millman Auxiliary of Post 93, V.F.W., and American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving are a son, Henry Ross Raymond of Youngstown, and two grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Harry Warner, died last week. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 Friday afternoon at Shriver-Allison South Side Funeral Home, where friends may call Thursday evening. Burial will be made in the Canfield cemetery."
