Eliza Jane Lindsay was born in 1836; the daughter of Samuel Davis Lindsay and Margaret Dilbone. Her mother, Margaret, was one of the surviving children of Henry and Barbara Milhouse Dilbone who were killed by Indians aligned with the British during the War of 1812; the so called "Dilbone Massacre". Eliza and JQA had five children; Lillian, Lulian, Harley, Pirl and Harlan. Harley died as an infant and I can find no F.A.G. memorial for him.

Eliza died in 1917 in Arborville, Nebraska.
