Mr. Harstad was born In Eau Claire and was a life-time resident. He was employed by the Peters Meat Company for 44 years. He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church.
Mr. Harstad is survived by his wife, Josephine, one son, Robert, of Eau Claire; three daughters, Mrs. LaVerne Hotchkiss, Green Bay; Mrs. Alfred Schoeneck, West Allis; Mrs. Charles Burgess, Parma, Ohio; four brothers, Christ of St. Paul; Ingvold of Eau Claire; Harold of Oconto; Theodore of New Richmond; and one sister, Mrs. Howard Melby of Appleton. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Wednesday afternoon and evening and Thursday until time of services at Lenmark's.
