Sarah Frances Fletcher moved to the area of Mallory, which was then Madison County, Florida, in 1854, but became Lafayette County in 1856 (the same area became Dixie County in 1921).

Sarah Frances, 44, died of asthma at her home in Mallory, leaving a husband and seven children; Joseph, Lucius, Sarah Virginia (Aunt Sis), Beulah, L. Joshua (Josh), Tom and Hiram.

Her husband, Levi Joshua Bell died in 1896 and their daughter Beulah died in 1897 at 16 years old.
