One Killed, Two Injured In Auto Accident Sunday
Mrs. W.F. Allen was killed almost instantly, Mr. Allen received a broken collar bone, their daughter Mabel suffered concussion of the brain, and A.F. Short had a collar bone and two ribs broken when their Dodge car turned turtle on the Ozark trail southwest of Carnegie Sunday. Mrs. Allen died a few minutes after the accident. The parties lived in Hobart and the injured were rushed to a Hobart hospital.
The cause of the accident has not been determined. Mr. Short was driving the car. It is believed that the steering wheel either became loose or became locked. Parties who saw the accident said the car was speeding.
