The family, step-father, Mr. Frank Rogers, mother and an aunt, Dottie Bennett, moved to Mt. Clemens in the early 20's.
He received his education at Wm. Nicke School. He was united with the Vinson Chapel A.M.E. Church at an early age, under the pastorage of Rev. V. L. Eckridge working with the Sunday School and Choir.
Earll enlisted in the United States Army March 20, 1941. He received an honorable discharge July 19, 1945, receiving a Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with five Bronze Service Stars and one Bronze Service Arrow Head.
He was united in marriage to Leola Fitzpatrick, July 7, 1942 and adopted daughters, Arie Lee and Eliza Lee.
Mr. Bennett and wife Leola moved to Detroit during the early 60's, where he resided until he departed this life on January 21, 1988 at Receiving Hospital in Detroit, Michigan after a lengthy illness.
He retired after twenty-five years of employment from Chrysler-Dodge Truck in 1972.
He leaves to mourn his loss: a loving wife, Leola, two adopted daughters, Arie Lee Hubbard and Eliza Lee Harris, eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, cousins and a host of friends.
Service held Friday, January 29, 1988, 1:00 P.M. at Vincent Chapel Church 22435 Quinn Road, Mt. Clemens, Michigan; Rev. Garfield Johnson, Jr., Officiating.
