Funeral services for Dolphus Edward Reedy, 69, of Fort Worth were held at 2 pm Sept. 16 at Huff Chapel in Whitesboro. He died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 1983, at his Fort Worth residence. Bro. Harold Watson of the First Baptist Church of Whitesboro conducted the services. Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery, west of Collinsville, under the direction of Huff Funeral Home.

Mr. Reedy was born Nov. 14, 1913, in Cooke County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rich Elliot Reedy. He was a construction worker/carpenter and a member of the Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Reedy of Halton City; two sons, Frankie Ray Reedy and Billy Wayne Reedy of Sherman; two daughters, Pearl Shwadlenak of Gainesville and Peggy Williams of Irving; five brothers, R.F. Reedy and Buster Reedy of Whitesboro, Homer Reedy of Gainesville, Glenn Reedy of Fort Worth, and Pete Hall of Nocona; three sisters, Clemmie Castell of Cannon, Alfa Lou Bass of Hurst, and Birtie Sinclair of Whitesboro; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were Dennis Bass, John Hunt, Rickey reedy, Bobby Decker, B.B. Reedy, Jr., and Charles Bridges.
