He was born May 26, 1928, in Salina to Lester and Marie (Giltner) Arnold.
He worked as a commercial construction electrician for over 60 years. He was a member of the Emmanuel Christian Center, the Full Gospel Christian Association, life member of the electricians union local 661, and board member of the Salina Rescue Mission.
James was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; two sisters; and daughter, Rebecca Justice, in 2007. Survivors include his wife, Helen, of Assaria; sons, James and wife Peggy, of Kansas City, Mo., Mark, of Assaria, and Tim and wife Tanya, of Salina; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 15, at the Emmanuel Christian Center, Salina.
Inurnment will be at a later time. There will be no visitation as cremation was chosen
