Clyde - Blanche Trull Hill, 85, of Liner Creek Road, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at Smoky Mountain Health Care and Rehabilitation.
A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late James Alexander and Mary Gibson Trull. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Walker Hill Sr., who died in 1994, as well as many brothers and sisters. She was a former employee of the American Enka Corporation. Blanche was an active member of Rock Springs Baptist Church, was involved as a 4-H leader, and was also an active member of the Crabtree/Iron Duff Hyder Mountain Community Club. Her true love was opening her home to her friends and family and caring for them unconditionally with her warm hospitality.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary Jean Henson and husband, Mike, and Marlene Hill, all of Clyde, and Tammy Cochran and husband, Scott, of Waynesville; one son, Wallace Hill and his wife, Sharon, of Canton; five grandchildren, Adrian Presnell and his wife, Courtney, Melody Teague Rose, Kelsey Ferguson and her husband, Nathan, Jeremy Hill and his wife, Darcy, and Francesca Cochran; and three great-grandchildren, Josie and Michael Presnell and Bryson Ferguson; and special nieces and nephews, Helen, Jack, Walker, Lou Ann, Charlie, and Freda.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2010, at Rock Springs Baptist Church, with the Rev. Charlie Simpson officiating. The family will receive friends from Noon to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Upper Crabtree Cemetery.
