BREMEN-Herbert W. Neher,83,of 721 S. East St.,died at 11:15 P.M. Wednesday in Community Hospital of Bremen.Mr Neher retired in 1970 from Dodge manufacturing Mishawaka,where he worked for 32 years. He was born Oct.,7,1905, in Kosciusko County.He had lived in Bremen for most of his life. On march9,1927,he married Edith Summy,who survives, Also surviving are two daughters, Joan Christman and Bonnie Bowen,both of Mishawaka,In.;two sons,Allen W.Neher of Bremen and Donald Neher of Mishawaka;nine grandchildren;-four great-grandchildren;a sister Ruth Pfefferle of Adrian,Mich.;and a brother Ted of south Bend. He was a member of Grace United-Methodist Church and the Quarter Century Club of Dodge.
Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday at Mishier Funeral Home.Burial will be in Bremen Cemetery.Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m.Friday,in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the hospital or Emphysema foundation.
