Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Church of Christ, 494 W. 10th Ave., for Clarence Amenzo Westapher, 95, of 552 W. 8th Ave., Eugene. He died Sunday.

Interment will be in Lane Memorial Gardens. Simon-Lounsbury Mortuary is handling the arrangements.

Mr. Westapher was born Jan. 17, 1864, in Clarinda, Iowa, and worked for many years as a Civil Service employee, primarily at the U.S. Navy Yard in Bremerton, Wash.

As an active member of the Church of Christ for the past 77 years, Mr. Westapher was instrumental in planning and erection of the church. He also devoted much time to religious writings, one of which is being featured at the Church of Christ booth at the Centennial Exposition in Portland.

Survivors include his widow, Loretta Royal; a sister, Rowanna Carr of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, and many nieces and nephews.
