Esther Peck, 79, Dies Suddenly -
Funeral services are being held this Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Darwin Peck, 79, who passed away suddenly Christmas day at the home of a daughter in Central City.

Esther Peck was born April 17, 1893 near Palmer to William and Mary (Rudolf) Glause. She attended rural school in Merrick County. She married Harry Adams in March of 1911 and they resided in Palmer until his death in 1924.

She married Darwin Peck on April 15, 1925 and they made their home near Palmer until 1938 when they moved to Clarks. After his death in June of 1959 she resided with her son, moving to Palmer in 1968.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. George (Arlene) Steinke of Central City; one son, Delane of Palmer, three step-daughters, Mrs. Henry (Iva) Freeland of Cathage, Mo., Mrs. Harry (Clareta) Ita of Central City and Mrs. Ervin (Viola) Eckstrom of Palmer; 2 step-sons, Delmon, Tilden and Oliver of Eldorado, Mo., 22 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Paul Glause of Merna and a sister, Mrs. Lena Campbell of Stromsburg.

Preceding her in death were her husband, one son, a brother, three sisters and a granddaughter.
