Services will be in the Summers Funeral Home with Pastor John Kaitschuk officiating.
Interment will be in Haven ill Cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral home.
Mr. Stangle was born in Richland County in the home in which he passed away this morning.
He was the son of Charles Stangle and Mary Scherer Stangle. He was married to Myra Fritschle on Jan. 8, 1915. She preceded him in death on Nov. 17, 1972. A son, Harold, and a brother, Ira, have also preceded him in death, along
with his parents.
He was a long-time member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Olney. He had engaged in farming most of his life. He was for many years a member of Lodge No. 1372 L.O.O.M, but dropped his membership because of ill health.
He leaves a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Sr. and Rosemary Stangle of Olney; grandsons and their wives, Kenneth and Nancy Stangle Jr., of Olney and Charles and Barbara Stangle of Pineville, La., three great-grandchildren, Jason Stangle of Pineville, La., Brian and Julie Ann Stangle, both of Olney; and two sisters-in-law. Miss Maydean Fritschle of Olney and Mrs. Nellie Viehe of Mt. Vernon.
