Roy Massey Brand, 68, passed away August 23, 2010 at his home. He was born August 26, 1941 in Orange Grove to Robert Alfred and Annie Brand. Mr. Brand retired from Jacob's Engineering as the Human Resource Manager. He was a lifetime member of Jaycee's Senate, former member of the Young Republicans, involved in Youth Sports in Kleberg and Ector Counties and was a member of the Orange Grove Sports Hall of Fame.
Survivors include one daughter, Erika (Chad) Yelverton of Fulshear; two sons, Massey (Nicki) Brand of New Braunfels and Mason (Susan) Brand of San Antonio; Mary Wursthorn of Bulverde; two brothers, Robert Martin (Patty) Brand of Rockport and Seale Brand of Orange Grove; and five grandchildren, Christian, Hailey, Luke, Samuel and Britton.
Visitation will be Friday, August 27, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Holmgreen Mortuary in Alice.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the Faith Church UCC in Orange Grove. Burial will follow in Orange Grove Cemetery
