Nancy Ruth Loyd, 62, of Sycamore, Ill., died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, at her home.
Born Jan. 10, 1948, in Chicago, to Elbert and Dorothy (Mann) Haynes, Nancy married Roger Dale Loyd on Dec. 1, 1972, at the Methodist church in Burlington.

Nancy was a loving and giving person. She was kind, generous and had a creative nature. She enjoyed reading and also wrote her own poetry, which was published for all to cherish. Her family and friends will miss her greatly since she was always available for whoever needed love and support: "You love me, too."

She is survived by her loving husband, Roger; children, Kim (Roger) Stockl, Michelle (Chuck) Calbeck and Shanon (Monique) Loyd; grandchildren, Allison, Lauren, Courtney, Megan, Michael, Jessica, Jacob and Madelynn; great-grandson, Tristan; mother, Dorothy (Euil) Loyd; sister, Sue (Steve) Keith; nieces, nephews; and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her father; son, Jonathan Elbert Loyd in 2006; two brothers, Butch and Bud Haynes; and grandmother, Vola Smith.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Olson Funeral and Cremation Services, Quiram-Sycamore Chapel, 1245 Somonauk St., with the Rev. Stephen Persson officiating. Interment will be at Ohio Grove Cemetery near Sycamore. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, at the funeral chapel; 815-895-6589.
