Cedar Bayou Rancher dies
Rites Sunday for William J Wright
William James Wright, 93, retired Cedar Bayou rancher and farmer, died at 5:20 p.m. Friday at a Baytown Hospital.
He had been in ill health for several years. Wright a native of England, came to Cedar Bayou when he was 12 years old and lived there the remainder of his life.
Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Paul U Lee funeral home with Rev. James Jackson, pastor of Cedar Bayou Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Cedar Bayou Masonic cemetery with the Cedar Bayou Masonic lodge A.F. and A.M. No. 321 in charge of graveside services.
Survivors are his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Bayliss of Tri-City Beach Road, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be George Ellender, I. C. Wilkins, E. J. Terry, E. M. Gardner, B. F. Devereaux and A. R. Wilson.
