Jeffrey Pilcher Ball, 47 of Barboursville, WV passed away August 10, 2010. A celebration of life was conducted at 11 am Saturday, August 14, 2010m, at St. John's Episcopal Church in Huntington, WV by the Rev. Karen Humbert. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Jeff was born February 6, 1963 in Huntington, a son of Greta Pilcher Ball of Barboursville and the late Robert Edgar Ball. He attended Marshall University where he played baseball and was a Graduate of West Virginia Tech with a civil engineering adegree. Jeff was a Professional Engineer and served as District 1 Bridge Engineer and most recently Construction Engineer with the West Virginia Department of Highways. He was a member of the Engineers Club of Huntington, NRA, and was active in Barboursville Youth Baseball. He served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert and sister, Karen Ball Dillingham. He is survived by his loving wife, Patty Cobb Ball; daughter, Mary Anna Ball; sons, David Robert and Steven Matthew Ball all at home; sisters Brenda Keys and Ellin Bollman; twin brother, John Ball.
