VALPARAISO.--Stephen Mockler, age 53, well-known Kouts farmer, died here at Christian hospital at 11:40 Monday morning. Friday afternoon Mr. Mockler underwent an operation for appendicitis. He was born in Germany. Surviving are the widow and the following children: Eldridge, Charles, Howard and Mabel, of Kouts; Edward, of Wolcott, Ind., and Lloyd, of Michigan. Mrs. Tillie Sierks, of Valparaiso, and Mrs. Harry Miller, of Gary, are half-sisters.
