Alice F. Narron, 88, of Gilliam, died Sunday, June 20, 2004, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, at Gilliam Baptist Church. Rev. Chris Weber will officiate. Organist Bethany Weiker will play "When They Ring Those Golden Bells" and "How Great Thou Art." Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater. Pallbearers will be Jeff Harris, Michael Haynes, Dennis Haynes, Kenny Haynes, Cody Narron and Robert Roder. Burial will be in Gilliam Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Gilliam Baptist Church, the American Heart Association and National Kidney Foundation.
Born July 25, 1915, in Miami, she was the daughter of the late John S. and Vera Hill Johnson. On Oct. 12, 1935, in Marshall, she married Marion E. Narron, who preceded her in death May 7, 1988. She was a member of Gilliam Baptist Church and a longtime Gilliam resident.
Survivors include one son, Edward Narron of Gilliam; one daughter, Beverly Harris of rural Gilliam; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Billie Haynes; five brothers; and one sister.
