Brother of Anna (Olson) Erickson, mother of Hilda Erickson, whom Andrew and his wife adopted. (Anna died in 1903, just 4 years after her husband Henry Erickson. Their seven children were orphaned, ages 20 years down to age 4 years.)
Additionally, Andrew's wife, Caroline, was the sister of Hannah (Overboe) Erickson, who married Hilda's oldest brother Alfred Erickson.

A.B. Olson Has 90th Birthday
the ninetieth birthday of A.B. Olson was observed Sunday at Arkdale, where the aged resident lives at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Hans Pedersen. To celebrate the event, 47 relatives and friends gathered at the Pedersen home during the afternoon and a birthday supper was served.
Mr. Olson, who has lived in Arkdale practically all his life, has one daughter, Mrs. Pedersen, 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Among those present were his two brothers who live in Arkdale, Herman and Henry Olson, and his two great-grandchildren, Elaine and Kenny Henriksen, also of Arkdale. Others there included Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. kenneth Erdman and Keith, Mrs. Roy King, Joyce and Gene, Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Jepson, Mr. and Mrs. Orin Marks, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schroedel and Diane, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Marks, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Marks, all of Wisconsin Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Emil Mueller, David Harriet, Arpin; Mrs. Alfred Erickson and Christ Overboe, Strongs Prairie; Mrs. Charles Smith and Gail Smick, P.
