Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Phinizy, 1006 Gordon Drive SE, who died Wednesday morning at a Bessemer Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Guntharp Funeral Home, Rev. James O. Bodley and Rev. Ernest J. Alt officiating with burial in Decatur Cemetery.
Survivors include the widower, Early Phinizy, Decatur; a daughter, Mrs. J.W. Patton, Bessemer; a son, Early Phinizy Jr, Shaw AFB, S.C.; a sister, Miss Marjorie Workman, Danberry, Conn; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Robert Tweedy Jr, Julian Bibb, Charles Eyster, Jack Davis, Ed Davies and Bob McWhorter.
The family requests that any memorials be made in the form of contributions to the Memorial Fund of St. Johns Episcopal Church.
