Hans Pedersen
ARKDALE--Hans C. Pedersen, 79, Rt. 1, Arkdale, died Saturday at Adams County Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Arkdale Trinity Lutheran Church, the Rev. Harvey Frye officiating, with burial in East Arkdale Cemetery.
Mr. Pedersen was born Sept. 12, 1896, in the township of Big Flats, Adams County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peder Pedersen, and married Hilda A. Olson on May 19, 1918. He was a veteran of World War I. A lifetime resident of Adams County, he was a farmer and a member of American Legion VFW Post No. 6279, and World War I Barracks. Mr. Pedersen was Strongs Prairie town clerk and treasurer. He was an original director of the Adams County Credit Union, a director of Adams County Dairy Co-op and Farmers' Union Co-op, REA, and Arkdale Mutual Fire Insurance Company.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Norman, Arkdale; Roy, Juneau; and Alden, Wisconsin Rapids; eight daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Henricksen, Mrs. Clarence York, Mrs. Garland Chaffee, Mrs. Helmer Lecy, Mrs. Franklin Williams, all of Arkdale; Mrs. Fred Stevens, Kenosha; Mrs. Clinton McKinley and Mrs. Edward Koehler, both of Friendship; 39 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
