George Waldron was born August 14, 1837, in Northern Michigan, probably in Macomb County, where his family lived for many years, and was the first of thirteen children born to Evert and Catharine Waldron.

George married Emily L. Randall in Michigan sometime in 1861 (probably in Leelanau County where the Randall family lived) and then settled in Antrim County, Michigan, just across Grand Traverse Bay from the Leelanau Peninsula. They would have six children: Lorenzo, Lucinda, George, Eugene, Catherine, and Albert. Although they lived in Michigan for many years, after the turn of the century, the family moved to Hoquiam, Washington (near Aberdeen).

Emily passed away on December 22, 1916 at their home and was buried at Forest Home Cemetery in Cosmopolis, Washington. George lived several more years and also died at home on April 26, 1924 and was likely buried near Emily.
