He came to the United States with his brother Melchoir Boslett. His name was Jean Pierre Boslet, but he went by John Peter Boslet. It is unclear if he went by Boslett, but in the census he is listed as Boslet with one t.

He married Elizabeth Rutsch on April 04, 1837 in St. Joseph Church, Susquehanna Twp., Pennsylvania. Together they had at least 4 children; Joseph, Melichor (Milton), Mary, and Charles.

Taken in execution and to be sold at the suit of Moore & Carroil, for use of J. Moore.
