TIPTON FARMER DIES THIS MORNING
George Tranbarger Passes Away After Brief Illness of Three Weeks.
This morning at 10:15 death claimed one of Tipton County's widely known farmers, George Edward Washington Tranbarger, age 75, at his home three miles south and one and one-half miles west of this city. Mr. Tranbarger succumbed from a complication of ailments having been seriously ill for about three weeks.
He was the son of Eli and Nancy Tranbarger and was born in Union, Ohio in 1860, on June 12.
His marriage to Sophiah Dailey ended with her death in 1911.
In 1912 Mr. Tranbarger married Dora Zell, who survives him.

Four children and one step-son survive also; Mrs. Clara Monroe, Mrs. Nancy Dague, Mrs. Irene Cooper and George Tranbarger, Jr., all of Elwood, and Leo Zell also of this city. Eight grandchildren are left to mourn their loss, as is Frank Santio, a native of Mexico who had made his home with Mr. Tranbarger for the past several years and was a very close friend of the family.
Funeral Wednesday Afternoon.
Mr. Tranbarger was a member of the New Lancaster Christian Church and was well known throughout that section of the county in which he lived.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Leisure Christian Church in charge of Reverend J.C. Drake, and burial will be made in the city cemetery. The body will remain at the Copher and Fesler Funeral Home until tomorrow morning when it will be removed to the home of a daughter, Mrs. Clara Monroe, 825 North Twelfth street, where it will remain until the hour of the funeral service.
