Mrs. Ray Williams was at the organ and accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gross who sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "What A Friend We Have in Jesus."
Pallbearers were Willis, Oren and Junior Doscher, nephews of the deceased, L. B. Edmondson, Henry Herzog and Milton Fohrman.
Interment was in the Ewing Masonic Cemetery.
Bessie Naomi was born to Stephen and Ella Nora Gruber April 28, 1884 in Lewis County, Mo., and died in Blessing Hospital, Quincy, Jan. 13 at the age of 74 years, 8 months and 16 days. She was united in marriage to Jarred H. Woodworth Sept. 2, 1900. To this union were born ten children, eight of whom survive. One son died at birth and another son, Harry, died on March 1, 1942. Mr. Woodworth preceded Mrs. Woodworth in death on July 5, 1946.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Alice Mae Gibbord of St. Louis; Mrs. Eva Lena Vestal of Moline, Ill., Mrs. Ella Nora Hill, Seattle, Wash.; and Mrs. Annie Catherine Hazens, Quincy; also four sons Jarred H. of Quincy; Virgil Carlton, Charles (Shorty) and Burrell Leonard, all of Ewing. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, four sisters, two brothers and other relatives.
Mrs. Woodworth spent her entire life in Lewis County. For the past several years she and her son Charles had operated the Ewing Hardware Co. She was a member of Ewing Baptist Church.
