Rose Marie Laria Lopez was born in Brooklyn, New York. The oldest child of Samuel & Lydia (Clayton) Laria. The family moved to Beaver Falls in 1929. At the age of 16, Rose left school to raise her younger siblings when her mother died in childbirth. Rose was married three times. Her only child, Samuel Joseph Vincent, died at age nineteen in 1966. Her second husband, Leroy Barnett, died in 1979. She was married to her third husband, Joseph Lopez, for over twenty five yrs. Rose worked in her father's restaurant in Beaver Falls most of her life. She was a devout member of St Mary's Catholic Church and sang in the choir for over fifty yrs. Rose outlived all of her siblings, becoming in the process a second mother & second grandmother to a legion of loving nieces and nephews and their children. She is remembered for her strong sense of family devotion and her generosity.
