Ronnie Clay Cobler, 65, of 142 Crows Nest Road, Bassett, died Friday, Nov. 24, 2006, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville.
He was born Aug. 20, 1941, in Martinsville to Henry Clay "Duck" Cobler and Mary Hundley Cobler. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Wayne Cobler Sr.
He retired from DuPont as a machinist after 33 years of service and attended Mill Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Deborah Holley Cobler of the home; three daughters, Amanda Sue Cobler of the home, Cindy Cobler Sealy of Clifton and Kim Cobler Burnett of Leesburg; two sisters, Violet Cobler Lemons and Geneva Cobler Stultz, both of Martinsville; and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Norris Funeral Services chapel with the Revs. Steve Tilley and Tom Teens officiating. A private burial will be held at Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
