Kristi was a 1988 graduate of Walton High School, and graduated from WV Career College, where she received her paralegal degree. Kristi worked as a paralegal for several law firms in the Charleston area prior to her illness. She was a Christian. Kristi was an avid lover of dogs and raised Australian shepherds for breeding and show. She loved taking her dogs to compete in shows in several states, where they brought home many ribbons and prizes. She was so proud of them.
Kristi was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Frances Wickline, Delcie Thayer Byers, Clarence Thayer and Louise and William Taylor; Uncle, Bob Wickline; and cousin, Craig Painter.
She is survived by her loving parents, Dale B. and Mona Jean Thayer of Walton; her loving brother, Jamie Thayer of Walton, who helped provide her with care; uncle, Donald Thayer of Craigsville and his wife, Norma; uncle, Wayne Wickline of Sissonville and his wife Charlotte; aunt, Carolyn Bennett of Charleston and her husband, Basil; cousins, Callie Thayer, Kelly Holeston, Robin McDaniel, Andrea Keisr, Emily Wickline, Scott Wickline, Ryan Wickline, Lacey Shaffer, Shane Holeston, Zachary Wickline, and Patricia Barnes; and many other relatives and friends. She is also survived by her favorite cocker spaniel, Chase; and nine Australian shepherds.
The family would like to thank Hospice Care for their help in taking care of Kristi and a big thank you goes out to all our friends, family and neighbors for their help. It has all been greatly appreciated.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, at the funeral home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on March 21, 2007, at the funeral home. Pastor Ora Holbert will be officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Ridge Cemetery, Sutton.
