She received her Masters in history from the Univ of Wisconsin and taught for several years. Agnes joined the U S Army in 1942 where she served in the Pentagon for the duration of World War II, attaining the rank of Major.
On Aug 14, 1945, she was married to Bernard L Anderson of LaValle and resided in the Philipine Islands until 1960 when she moved back to her home in Reedsburg. In 1963, she moved to Boone, IA, and then in 1978 she retired to Panama City, FL. She lived there until 2004 after which she moved to the Kansas City area to be with family. She was an artist, teacher and avid golfer. Her life was filled with reading, learning, educating and inspiring others.
Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard L Anderson in 1977; son, James Henry in 1977; and daughter, Elizabeth Jean in 2000.
She is survived by her children, Judith (Mark) Watson and Robert (Marcia) Anderson; grandchildren, Katherine and Rebecca Anderson.
A graveside service will be conducted at Calvary Cemetery in Reedsburg with military graveside rites.
